Oakridge is a gated community in the Scarborough region of Toronto, Canada. Oakridge's era began with the construction of the Oakridge Public School on Danforth Road in 1913. In 1967, the educational institute  was demolished and altered by Oakridge Park. At the Danforth Street entrance area. There is also a date stone monument to the traditional Oakridge school. On Byng Road, the old-aged school was substituted by a new tech modern school.   Oakridge houses come in several sizes, silhouettes, and patterns. These buildings were built between the 1910s and the 1950s. The majority of the ancient Oakridge homes were self-constructed, then expanded and enhanced over time. This area is currently undergoing new house construction as several of the old buildings are demolished to make way for manufacturing, modern buildings.
