EP Taylor came across the farmland in the 1950s that he decided to transform into a new city. He spent a few years gathering and developing the neighbourhood. Taylor executed his plan of making it a residential, commercial and industrial space. He sold it to Cadillac Fairview in 1968. The process of building Erin Mills took place in four phases.
