Oakridge Neighbourhood Overview

Oakridge is a gated community in the Scarborough region of Toronto, Canada. It has a fantastic array of newer and older housing residences, a thriving shopping area parallel to the longitudinal Danforth Avenue, and plenty of recreation bases and parkland. Oakridge's era began with the construction of the Oakridge Public School on Danforth Road in 1913. In 1967, the educational institute  was demolished and altered by Oakridge Park. This area is currently undergoing new house construction as several of the old buildings are demolished to make way for manufacturing, modern buildings.

The Intersection of the Danforth performance improvement neighbourhood consists of tiny, individually-owned shop restaurants and shops that serve the basic facilities  of the nearby area. Most of the retail shops are situated at the southwest corner of Danforth Road and Victoria Park Avenue, which is a popular place for Oakridge inhabitants.
